- I have a question for anyone who can answer. I am trying to figure
- out what type of modem I have do that I can use the data compression
- features under Windows 95 (it is currently using the Standard Modem
- setting). The modem manual does not have a name brand on it. It just
- says: Data/Fax Modem
- PC Internal Card
- v.34 28,800 bps
- It says it is compatible with UTI-T, Bell, and Hayes, but when I try
- to uses Hayes settings on my modem configuration, the computer doesn't
- recognize the modem during dial-up attempts, even though it does
- recognize it during a diagnostic check. Any ideas?
